Mahindra Scorpio & Bolero now get class leading 7 year warranties

Mahindra has announced an extension to its warranty period for their Bolero Power+ and Scorpio. Both the SUVs sell in good numbers for the manufacturer. The warranty program is called Shield and through this, the customers can extend their warranty by two years which means that they can get an uninterrupted warranty period of 7 years. For Bolero Power+ the warranty coverage is for 1.5 lakh kilometres whereas Scorpio gets a warranty coverage for 1.7 lakh kilometres.

The Shield warranty package already covered the uncertain mechanical and electrical breakdowns. However, now it can be extended up to 7 years or the kilometres specified above. The extended warranty would get activated immediately after the original warranty expires.

The homegrown manufacturer is also offering an in-house warranty program that ensures faster coverage approval and claims settlement. The extended warranty also provides flexibility in terms of transfer of ownership. It also increases the resale value of the vehicle because the next owner would have peace of mind as the vehicle is covered by the extended warranty. So, even if something breaks, he can get it covered under an extended warranty. The customers can buy the extended warranty program as a one-time payment or easy EMIs.
