Though the Honda WR-V has great looks, it is essentially a crossover than a compact SUV. Other cars in this segment have SUV looks and higher ground clearance which is the main selling point these days. The WR-V looks like Jazz with some cosmetic changes, and people do not find it justified to spend more on a similar product.

Features

Rear AC vents

Features have become a top priority for buyers these days. The WR-V is decently equipped with features, but the competition offers a lot more features, making the WR-V look old. Basic features like adjustable headrests, second-row charging ports and rear AC vents are missing on the WR-V.

Lack of power and transmission options

The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 88bhp and 110Nm of torque, Which should be adequate for it, but real-world usage has shown that the car is underpowered in certain situations. The competition cars come with more powerful engines in this segment. The WR-V also misses an automatic transmission, something that is affecting its sales as more and more people are switching to an automatic transmission for comfort and convenience.

Pricing

2020 Honda WR-V Launched

The Honda WR-V starts from Rs 10.32 lakh and goes to Rs 14.20 lakh (on-road Mumbai). At this pricing, the WR-V feels a bit overpriced for what it offers. The competition offers more features and proper SUV looks at the same price.

Should you buy it?

If you are in the market to buy a sub-four-metre crossover or compact SUV and the WR-V is a car that you are considering, we will only recommend the VX MT Diesel variant which is the top variant of this car. The car has a good amount of cabin space, a fuel-efficient engine & decent features that will make life comfortable and convenient. But at Rs 14.20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), there are also other options to consider if you want a diesel manual car with the same amount of features.
