Hyundai Rs 12 lakh SUV to offer new variants?

Hyundai has enjoyed a very successful run in the Indian market. It is known for its trendsetting products. Hyundai recently unveiled the i20 N Line in India. These N Line cars are inspired by the brand’s N series of performance cars, however are limited to just cosmetic changes and minute mechanical changes. The Creta has been one of the best selling Hyundai cars in India. So we expect Hyundai to bring in an N Line version of the Creta to India. In today’s article, we will be looking at this expected new variant of the Rs 12 lakh Hyundai SUV.

Hyundai i20 N Line revealed – What does it get over i20?

Design

The Creta N Line will get a lot of cosmetic changes over the normal Creta.  It will get a new grille with N Line badging, new front & rear bumpers, sportier twin-tip exhausts, side skirts, red brake callipers and unique alloy wheels. On the interior front, the Hyundai Creta N Line will come with an N Line steering wheel, N Line gear knob,  sportier seats with red stitching and red coloured ambient lights.

As the N Line only gets cosmetic changes, we expect Hyundai to use the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that also powers the regular Creta. The engine is capable of producing 138bhp and 242Nm of torque. Similar to the i20 N Line, we expect Hyundai to tune the suspension and steering wheel on the Creta N Line for a sportier driving experience. Gearbox options will include a seven-speed DCT gearbox.

As the N Line will be based on the top-spec variants, it will come loaded with features. It will include features like a fully digital instrument cluster, drive modes, a panoramic sunroof, a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold and ventilated seats being some of the key ones.

Pricing and launch

Hyundai has already unveiled the i20 N Line in India, so we expect the Creta N Line to follow sometime after it. Hyundai may ask for a premium of Rs 1 lakh over the top-spec variants of the Creta for the N Line variant. Hyundai does have a solid reason to bring the N Line variant for the Creta since it has no car to compete with the special variants of the Seltos that Kia offers. Kia Seltos is set to get an X Line variant very soon. We have done a video on the same which you can check out below.
