It borrows the styling of the Xtreme 160R

The Hero Xtreme 200R 4V and Xpulse 200 4V are likely to be launched together

The new Hero Xtreme 200R 4V has been spied along with the Xpulse 200 4V, which was only recently spotted out on public roads.

Both motorcycles were recently shown to the brand’s dealers and are to be launched soon in the market, where the naked machine will find tough competition.

Sporting similar styling to the Xtreme 160R, the 200R 4V features LED lights, a digital instrument display, a single-piece seat and a fairly large fuel tank. It should come with Bluetooth connectivity as well.

It also gets new colourways, but the biggest difference would be with the engine department, wherein the 199.6cc motor would feature a 4-valve head. As a result, the bike should have more power than the current 2-valve mill (17.84 BHP and 16.45 Nm).

By introducing the Xtreme 200R 4V, Hero will re-enter the 200cc naked motorcycle segment, for, it did not launch the BS6 model of the previous Xtreme 200R and only put on sale the updated Xtreme 200S.

Frankly speaking, the Xpulse deserves more sales

On the other hand, one can also see the Xpulse 200 4V with an appealing White with Blue paint scheme, sitting next to the roadster.

While both will share the same engine, the Xpulse is an entry-level adventure bike that is adept at dealing India’s battered roads and thus caters to a niche segment.

It is likely that both models will be introduced at one go very soon, with the Xpulse 200T 4V and Xtreme 200S 4V likely to join the fray sometime in the future.

Unlike the Xpulse though, the Xtreme 200R 4V will have rivals like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V to compete against.
