Four upcoming Maruti Suzuki SUVs in India

It’s been almost two years and the biggest carmaker in India, Maruti Suzuki had not got a single new product. There could be many reasons behind it, the main reason being the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing microchip shortage. All this while, Maruti-Suzuki was getting ready with four new SUVs to be launched in India. In this article, we will discuss these four SUVs that we expect Maruti to bring to India very soon.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny needs no introduction. The car is in the news ever since we first saw it at the Auto Expo 2020. This is one car that has been delayed and car enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for this car. The car is expected to come to India in a five-door version instead of the three-door version which is available in international markets. This car is considered to be an affordable off-roader and is expected to rival the already popular Mahindra Thar.

The Vitara Brezza has been around for quite some time. A new generation of the Vitara Brezza is another car that is eagerly awaited by car enthusiasts. The car is expected to come with minor cosmetic updates and be feature-loaded. This car once launched will compete against Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. The SUV is one of the safest cars from Maruti Suzuki and had scored a four-star rating at the Global NCAP test.

Maruti Suzuki YTB

This new car from Maruti Suzuki is expected a coupe-inspired design that will be similar to the Futuro-E concept car that was on display at the Auto Expo 2020. The car will be borrowing design elements from Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The car will be built on the Heartect platform and expected to get the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that is seen in the Baleno. This car will compete with compact SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Punch.

This new car is expected to get a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system with an option of a manual and automatic gearbox.
