The Nexon comes with the same engine options from its base model. So the XZ+ will come with petrol and diesel engine options. Its petrol engine is 1.2-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. In comparison, a diesel engine is a 1.5-litre unit capable of producing 107bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. Tata also gives drive modes on both engines.

The XZ+ variant comes loaded with a decent amount of features. For starters, it comes with a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a cooled glove box, rain-sensing wipers, an electric sunroof, auto headlamps, rear AC vents, 8-speaker Harman sound system, and automatic climate control. Safety-wise, it comes with ABS + EBD, hill-hold control, brake disc wiping, electronic stability control, an electronic stability program and dual airbags.
