Hyundai has banked heavily on its SUV lineup in the country. Its SUVs like the Creta, Venue and Tucson are raking in good sales. Hyundai knows this and is looking to increase this advantage. It has plans to bring several new SUVs in the next 2 years. What SUVs can we expect? In today’s article, let’s talk about these new Hyundai SUVs.
Ai3
The Tata Punch has taken the market by storm. These high sales have attracted the attention of Hyundai. Hyundai is working on a Punch rival codenamed the Ai3. Late last year, the car was first spotted testing in South Korea. It takes heavy inspiration from the Casper sold in South Korea, but is a bit bigger than it. Overall, we can expect a funky design and lots of features like a big infotainment system, electric sunroof, automatic climate control etc. According to reports, Hyundai has plans to launch the Ai3 by the end of 2023.
New Hyundai SUVs – Creta facelift
The Creta is Hyundai’s star performer in the country. Since its launch in 2016, the Creta has decimated any competition in its way. However, the competition has increased a lot in the last few years. Due to this Hyundai is working on the facelifted model of Creta. It has already launched the car outside India and we could soon see it in the country. The Creta facelift gets a new design and new features including ADAS. The Creta facelift could be launched by the end of 2023 or early 2024.
Alcazar facelift
Like the Creta, the Alcazar could also get a facelift soon. Last year, the Alcazar facelift was spotted resting in South Korea. The spied car got minimal changes like a slightly tweaked grille and different alloys. But the major catch was the Radar module at the front. It makes sense that the Alcazar also gets ADAS if the Creta is getting it. The Alcazar facelift could be launched a few months after the Creta facelift.
New Hyundai SUVs – Affordable EV
Hyundai is also working on an affordable electric option. This will be based on the Venue. For now, it is not clear if it is the Venue EV or just an EV based on the Venue platform. Considering the popularity of SUVs, it makes sense for Hyundai to bring an eSUV. Hyundai will need to give it at least 300km real-world range to take on its competitors. Being a Hyundai, it is almost certain to come loaded with a plethora of features.
