Adar Poonawalla is a popular businessman in India. He is the CEO of Serum Institute of India (SII) which is making the COVID-19 vaccines for India and many foreign markets. Adar Poonawalla like many other billionaire businessmen from the country and around the world leads a luxury lifestyle. Luxury cars are a part of it and he owns many of them in his garage. He has a soft corner for Rolls Royce cars and he has many Rolls Royce cars in his garage. He recently bought a Bentley Bentayga luxury SUV and the same car was recently spotted on the road.
The video has been uploaded by CS 12 VLOGS on their YouTube channel. In this video, the spotter shows several exotic and performance cars and SUVs that were out on the streets of Mumbai for Sunday morning drive. Cars like Lamborghini Aventador, Huracan, Urus, Ford Mustang, Audi R8s were seen in the video. The video however only focuses on the all-new Bently Bentayga in Adar Poonawalla’s garage. This is not an ordinary Bentayga. This is an Extended wheelbase (EWB) version of this luxury SUV.
Mr. Poonawalla’s new Bentley Bentyga is finished in a shade of Blue. Adar Poonawalla was first spotted with this SUV at the premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan movie. The EWB version of Bentayga was launched in India last month. The SUV is 180 mm longer than the regular Bentayga. This version is not available with 7-seater options and the added space is meant to make the second row more comfortable and spacious. It is available in both 4 and 5-seater configurations.
Like any other luxury car in the segment, the Bentley Bentayga also offers several luxury features. The EWB version even comes with an Airline Seat specification. It comes with a new kind of climate seat that senses the occupant’s body temperature and surface humidity and adjusts the ambient temperature and airflow accordingly. This is only one of the many features that Bentayga has to offer. As the EWB variant is meant for rear seat comfort, the occupant can control many features using a dedicated touchscreen. Just like Rolls Royce the EWB Bentayga also comes with power-assisted doors at the rear.
The Bentley Bentayga EWB version is available only with the V8 petrol engine. The SUV is powered by a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The engine generates a maximum of 550 Ps and 770 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The price for the Extended Wheelbase version of Bentayga starts at Rs 6 crore, ex-showroom. It directly rivals with Rolls Royce Cullinan, Range Rover LWB and also Mercedes-Maybach GLS600. As mentioned above, Adar Poonawalla has a good collection of expensive cars and has a soft corner for Rolls Royce cars. He has couple of Phantom VIII luxury saloons in his garage. Price for one Rolls Royce Phantom VIII starts at Rs 9.5 crore, ex-showroom and depending on the customisations, the prices go up. Other than this he owns a Ghost Series I and Phantom VII. He also has cars like Ferrari 360 Spider, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren 720S and even a fully-customized Batmobile.
