Mahindra Scorpio-N gets multiple upgrades: Changes detailed in a walkaround video

The Mahindra Scorpio N SUV has been in the news lately due to the controversy related to the sunroof leaking. New videos have now surfaced online where vloggers are showing the updates that Mahindra has offered with the Scorpio N. The SUV was launched last year and currently has a very long waiting period, with the base variant not yet seen on the road. The following video features a 2023 model Mahindra Scorpio N SUV with all the changes and updates, uploaded by Anubhav Chauhan on his YouTube channel.

In the video, the vlogger talks about the minor changes that the manufacturer has made to this popular SUV. As usual, the vlogger complains about the long waiting period of the SUV. What makes the Scorpio N in this video different is the engine, which remains the same but has been tuned to meet the upcoming BS6 phase 2 emission norms. A sticker stating the same can be seen on the windshield of this SUV.

The owner of this SUV has installed a bunch of accessories such as front and rear bumper guards, which are often offered by the dealership and are completely optional. Nothing else has changed on this SUV in terms of design, it still has all LED headlamps with single projector lights, projector LED fog lamps, and LED DRLs on the bumper. Front parking sensors can also be seen here on the bumper.

This is the top-end Z8 L 2WD variant which means it gets dynamic turn indicators, 17-inch alloy wheels, request sensors on both front doors and the boot, and so on. The interior of the SUV remains the same as before and is finished in a black and brown dual-tone theme. The SUV has a touchscreen infotainment system in the center that displays feed from the front and rear parking cameras. The quality of the parking cameras is not great and is still laggy. Mahindra should have improved the quality of the camera.

The other update in the Scorpio N is in the sunroof, which now gets a foam cover to prevent dust particles from getting into the roof liner. The roof-mounted speaker is no longer exposed. This foam does not make the section waterproof by any means. The rubber beading around the sunroof looks very tight and the same can be heard in the video too. Other than the BS6 phase 2 compatible engine and foam cover for the speakers, everything else on this SUV remains the same. The SUV seen here is the diesel variant which uses a 2.2-liter mHawk turbocharged engine. This engine generates 172 Bhp and 400 Nm of maximum torque. This engine option is available with both manual and automatic transmission and also gets a 4×4 option. The petrol variant of the SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter mStallion turbocharged engine, which is also available with manual and automatic transmission options. The petrol engine generates 200 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. Price for Mahindra Scorpio N starts at Rs 12.74 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 24.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
