The Tata Nexon has become the mainstay of the SUV segment in the country. In the last few years, the craze of Nexon has just skyrocketed with constant sales of around 12k to 14k units showing people’s promise with it. But still, Tata knows it will have to continue the momentum by constantly updating the Nexon. Currently, it is testing the new Nexon. Now we have new spy shots of the new Nexon in testing. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Nexon feature.
Spy shots
The spy video was posted on the Youtube channel of Rohit R. Raut. According to him, we spotted the test car in Pune. Overall the car is covered in heavy camouflage, but we can see the new front design. This new design seems to be inspired by the Curvv EV. As we move to the side, we get a small sneak peek into the interiors. We can see a floating infotainment system, which seems to be bigger than the current model. It could be the 10-inch unit Tata has debuted on the Harrier and Safari. With the new infotainment, Tata solves the biggest weakness of Nexon. At the rear, we can see a more upright design with a new tail lamp design.
What else to expect?
With the new infotainment system, we expect Tata to also update the other interior bits of the new Nexon. We can expect new upholstery and a changed dashboard layout. Other added features could include a new digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera etc. There are rumours that Tata could add ADAS on the new Nexon. Though no spy shots have shown the ADAS module, so take this information with a pinch of salt. In terms of specifications, we expect Tata to continue with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.
New Nexon feature – Launch timeline
Tata hasn’t shared much about the new Nexon. However, of late the car has been spotted testing in various parts of the country. This could only mean one thing Tata is fast-forwarding the development of the new Nexon. So when to expect the new Nexon? We think Tata could launch the new Nexon during the festive season.
