Toyota Innova Hycross VX Hybrid variant in black color: New walkaround video takes a closer look

The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese multinational automaker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, recently launched the latest iteration of its premium MPV, the Innova, called the Innova Hycross. This model is one of the most technologically advanced offerings from the carmaker and comes equipped with a hybrid powertrain. Recently, a video of the all-new black color of the Innova Hycross was shared on YouTube.

The video of the new black Innova Hycross was shared by The Car Show on their channel. The presenter of the video starts with the introduction of the car and mentions that it is the VX Hybrid variant of the car that costs Rs 24.76 lakh. He adds that the car starts from Rs 18.55 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 29.72 lakh. He also states that this is the first proper black color offered for the Hycross from Toyota.

He then starts at the front of the car and shows the fascia of the car. He points out that the car comes with a huge grille with brushed silver elements along with all-LED headlights. The YouTuber adds that this variant of the Hycross does not come with fog lamps but does manage to get the front parking camera as well as the front parking sensors on the bumper.

Following this, he moves on to the side profile of the car, where he first shows the alloy wheels of the MPV finished in silver. He mentions that the VX Hybrid variant gets 17-inch wheels while the lower trims get 16-inch wheels. He also adds that the top-spec ZX variants get 18-inch wheels with a different design. The presenter also states that this particular variant on the sides does not get any chrome elements, and the panoramic sunroof also becomes available from the variants above this one. He then shows the rear of the car, which gets a simple yet classy design with LED taillamps and some chrome garnish along with some huge emblems.

Moving on, he shows the dual-tone interior of the Hycross. He shows the floating 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, leather upholstery, multi-function steering wheel, and ambient lights of the car. He also shows the center console and the gear lever of the car along with all the various controls. The more expensive variants of the Hycross also come with a panoramic sunroof and ADAS. The Toyota ADAS system offers adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and so on.

Regarding the powertrain options, the creator explains that the Hycross comes with a 2.0-liter petrol engine that generates 171 Ps and has a claimed economy of Rs 16.13 kmpl. He adds that the strong hybrid versions of Innova Hycross are available with the same 2.0-liter petrol engine paired with an electric motor. This setup generates a combined power output of Rs 183 Ps. The strong hybrid version has a claimed fuel economy of 23.24 kmpl, which is the highest in its segment. Toyota is offering a warranty of 3 years/100,000 kilometers and an option of extended warranty of up to 5 years/220,000 kilometers, 3 years of free roadside assistance, attractive financial schemes, and 8 years/160,000 kilometers warranty on the Hybrid battery.
