To commemorate the success of the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s recent movie “Jailer,” the producer of the movie gifted him a brand new BMW X7 luxury SUV worth Rs 1.25 crore. Producer Kalanithi Maran, who is also the chairman of Sun Group, brought the BMW X7 along with a BMW i7 EV sedan to the superstar’s home for him to choose. This gift was given to Rajnikanth as “Jailer” recently crossed the Rs 600 crore mark in total global box office collection. According to reports, the producer, along with the two cars, also brought a cheque for around Rs 100 crore for the legendary actor.

The video starts off with the actor and the producer coming out to the garden and parking area of superstar Rajinikanth’s residence. The producer then shows the actor both cars which were parked in front. Rajnikanth first takes a step inside the BMW X7. He sits in the rear seat of the car. Next up, he takes the rear seat in the BMW i7 EV sedan. It was then shown that the producer Maran hands over the keys of the BMW X7 which Rajnikanth chose.

As mentioned, it has also been reported that the actor, prior to car handover, was given an envelope. According to many analysts, the envelope contained a profit-sharing cheque for the movie “Jailer.” The most astonishing information revealed from this report has been that the cheque was of Rs 100 crore. Another important piece of information is that this Rs 100 crore is separate from the charge that the legendary actor Rajnikanth has charged for the movie. For the movie, the actor has already charged a sum of Rs 110 crore. With this total of Rs 210 crore, Rajnikanth has become India’s highest-paid actor.
Coming to the car that the actor chose, it is the BMW X7 luxury SUV. This 7-seater brand new SUV is the latest generation model with the split headlamp design. It is also currently the most expensive SUV that the German luxury carmaker BMW offers in India. This SUV features a massive kidney grille, sleeker-looking redesigned LED headlamps, chrome-garnished air vents, and 3D tail lamps.
On the inside, the brand new BMW X7 comes equipped with features like dual screens on the dashboard. The first of the two screens is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and the other is a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The X7 also offers a panoramic sunroof, 14-color ambient lighting, and a digital key. Premium leather upholstery, multi-zone climate control, seat ventilation, and electrically adjustable driver and passenger seats are some of the other features.
In terms of safety features, BMW offers the X7 with features like multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, dynamic stability control (DSC), and cornering brake control (CBC). Adaptive cruise control and driver drowsiness detection, which are part of ADAS, are also features that BMW is offering with the X7.
As for the powertrain side of things, the SUV comes available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Both the petrol and diesel engines use a 3.0-liter, inline, six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged design. The petrol variant of the X7 generates a maximum of 381 Ps and 520 Nm of peak torque.
Meanwhile, the diesel variant produces around 340 Ps and 700 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel variants are available with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The power from the engine is sent to all four wheels. There is a 48V mild-hybrid system available with both the engines, which adds another 12 Ps and 200 Nm torque to the BMW X7.
