One such actor from South India is Darshan Thoogudeepa. He is a prominent figure in the Kannada film industry. Known for owning an array of expensive cars, he was recently spotted off-roading with friends in his customized Jeep Wrangler Rubicon SUV a few months ago. In another video, he can be seen driving away in an XKR-S sports coupe.
The video was uploaded by Spotter India on their YouTube channel. In the footage, we observe a blue Jaguar XKR-S sports coupe parked outside a luxury hotel in Bengaluru. According to the video, the vehicle belongs to Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa, who arrived at the hotel for a party accompanied by his wife. The actor is captured departing the luxury hotel in his sports coupe. Notably, the blue Jaguar featured is not the regular XKR model but the performance-oriented XKR-S variant, significantly more potent than its standard counterpart.

Much like the regular version, the XKR-S boasts a 2-door, 4-seater coupe design. It exudes a highly sporty vibe with its iconic rounded front design. In this video, the actor doesn’t pause for photos or videos; he simply drives away in his car, allowing viewers to experience the sporty exhaust note of the XKR-S. Introduced in 2011, the XKR-S comes equipped with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. Jaguar initially sold the XKR Coupe in the Indian car market, fitted with this engine that produced 510 PS of maximum power and 625 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The XKR-S, on the other hand, employs a tuned 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine generating 542 Bhp. This performance variant’s engine power is delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Notably, the XKR-S is the street-legal version of the GT variant showcased at the New York Motor Show in 2013.
The video also includes footage from 2022, where Darshan is seen stepping into his Lamborghini Aventador Spyder. The gray color featured on the Aventador Spyder is not its original shade; it was initially white. The actor chose to either wrap the car in this color or completely repaint it. Darshan, a genuine automobile enthusiast, possesses an impressive collection, including vehicles like the Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography, Audi Q7, Ford Mustang, Toyota Vellfire, Porsche Cayenne, Mini Cooper Countryman, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Wrangler, BMW 5-Series, and a highly customized Ford Endeavour. Additionally, he is the proud owner of a Yellow Lamborghini Urus SSUV.
Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff also counts a Jaguar XKR among his collection. Frequently seen with this vehicle in Mumbai, he stands out by opting for a used car instead of purchasing it new, a decision that likely translated to significant cost savings.
