Skoda’s Project 2.0 is going smoothly for the brand in India. Though not as significant as the brand had hoped, still it is doing decent sales with an average of 4,000 sales in a month. Now, Skoda is hoping to build on it by using a tried and tested technique. This technique is to bring a special edition of its cars. To that effect, Skoda has introduced the Onyx Plus edition and Slavia Ambition Plus. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new variants of Kushaq and Slavia.
Skoda Kushaq Onyx Plus
The Onyx Plus edition is based on the Onyx edition in the brand’s portfolio. In terms of new things, it gets 16-inch alloys and Chrome Garnish for the window line. Additionally, we have more chrome treatment on the front grille and tailgate. Specs-wise, the Onyx edition only comes with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol TSi engine capable of producing 113bhp and 178Nm of torque. The Onyx Plus is only available in Candy White and Carbon Steel colours.
Skoda Kushaq & Slavia variants – Skoda Slavia Ambition Plus
Coming to the Slavia Ambition Plus edition, it gets more chrome on the front grille, lower portion of the doors and boot lid. However, the major addition is the new dash cam. This is a welcome change, and we hope more mass-market manufacturers will start providing it in their cars. Like the Kushaq Onyx Plus, the Ambition Plus only comes with the 1.0-litre TSi engine. The only difference is that the Ambitions Plus comes with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Pricing
The Skoda Kushaq Onyx is priced at Rs 13.72 lakh. While the Skoda Slavia Ambition Plus is priced at Rs 14.77 lakh for the MT and Rs 16.29 lakh for the AT variant. All prices are on-road, Mumbai.
