The Maruti Suzuki Jimny has gained immense popularity in the country, all because of its amazing off-road capabilities. The model has managed to capture the attention of true off-roading enthusiasts, and they are snapping up this SUV like crazy. These off-road junkies are also modifying their Jimnys to make them even more capable than they already are, and most recently, another video of the modification of this SUV was shared online. In this small clip, the Jimny owner has added an aftermarket camping tent setup on top of his Jimny.

The video of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny with an off-roading camping setup on the roof has been shared on Instagram Reels. It was shared by a popular YouTuber who goes by the name “The Small Town Rider” on their official page. The video starts with a question that asks, “Why did you buy a Jimny?” The video then shows the car coming into the frame with a full-size foldable tent on top of the roof. It then shows the tent fully set up, and it says, “It is not just a Jimny, but it is a moving home.”

Cost of camping tents for cars
At the time the video was uploaded, this was the first Maruti Suzuki Jimny with a tent on its roof. For those wondering about the price of such a tent for their Jimny or any other SUV, these tents cost anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. They could become even more expensive or cheaper depending on the size and patterns.
This particular tent is finished in black and dark army green color and comes with an extension and a step ladder to access the tent. Also, as can be seen from the video, the entire tent can be folded and packed into a rectangular cover that keeps it protected from the weather when not in use during driving. Accessories like these are quickly gaining popularity among enthusiasts who love to wander in nature and disconnect from the bustling city life.
Glamping vans
As mentioned, this is one of the more portable tents. However, some enthusiasts have also started modifying their vehicles according to their camping requirements. Recently, we shared a video of a Mahindra Bolero that was fully converted into a glamping (glamorous camping) vehicle. This vehicle was equipped with a ton of amenities that were requested and custom-made for outdoor enthusiasts. The camper was equipped with an air conditioning system, sink, toilet, kitchen, sofa bed, and other creature comforts.
