AMT coming
According to our sources, Nissan is planning to introduce an AMT gearbox on the Magnite. This gearbox will be introduced on the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. It has taken Nissan a long time to do this, considering the Kiger got this combination right at launch. Nevertheless, this will help bridge the gap between the manual and CVT variants. Currently, the pricing of 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol of Magnite starts from Rs 7.38 lakh and goes to Rs 10.55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We can expect a hike of 80k to 90k on AMT over similar specced manual variants.

The second engine option on the Magnite is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. This engine comes with manual and CVT gearbox options. It comes with features like an 8.0-inch infotainment, 7.0-inch instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, Nissan Connect, 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, full LED headlamps, etc.
Upcoming Nissan products
Nissan is planning to launch as many as six new products in the upcoming months. The first of these is expected to be the X-Trail that the brand showcased last year. Then we could see a global EV most probably the Ariya. Then, it is expected to bring a compact SUV based on the Renault Duster. After that, we could see a 7-seater MPV and an entry-level electric car.
