Tata Safari Facelift spotted with the current model!

After the launches of Tata Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts, Tata Motors is going to get busy with the facelifts of Safari and Harrier. We have already spotted test mules of these SUVs multiple times and shared all the related details. Now, we were able to spot the test mule of Tata Safari facelift along with the current model showcasing a lot of changes. What are they? Let’s find out.

Tata Safari Facelift – Spy Shots

If you refer to the pictures you can see the camouflaged Tata Safari facelift along with the current Tata Safari. From the spy shots we can see changes on the front. For instance the front grille and the elements on the lower bumpers look completely different. Even the front bumper seems to be completely different. The headlamps are placed vertically and the overall front fascia could be similar to the Harrier EV that was showcased in the Auto Expo 2023. The test mule of the Safari was also seen with a new set of alloy wheels which were also camouflaged.

What to expect?

For exteriors, you can expect the facelift Safari and Harrier to share the design elements with the Harrier EV from the Auto Expo 2023. Upfront it will get LED headlamps and LED fog lamps, along with a possibility of connected LED DRLs. From the side the only change we speculate is the new set for alloy wheels. While at the rear the SUV could get connected LED tail lamps, different housing for the reflectors, and a redesigned rear bumper.

Inside we can see some new additions like an all new 4-spoke steering wheel that was spotted before in a test mule Safari. Also, it might even get an all new gear lever like the Nexon facelift. Rest we can also expect some minor revisions to the dashboard. Talking about the features, Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts could get  a digital instrument cluster with updated graphics, 360-degree camera, voice assisted sunroof, ventilated seats and LED headlamps. Also we recently spotted a test mule with a larger touchscreen. So could it be the same as Nexon EV’s 12.3 unit? Or could it be even larger? Well no firm guess on that as of now.

Engine Specifications

In terms of engine options, Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts will continue to get the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. A 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine could debut with the facelift but the chances are very low and we have already spoken about it in detail.

Tata Safari FaceliftLaunch & Pricing

We are expecting that Tata Motors could launch Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts by the end of this year or early next year. Also, with such major updates, there could be a hike of around Rs 60k to Rs 70k on these two SUVs, depending on the variants.
