2023 Hyundai i20 facelift: New TVC released

The South Korean automotive giant, Hyundai, has recently launched the all-new 2023 i20 facelift in India. The company has launched the newest iteration of this premium hatchback at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh, which goes all the way up to Rs 11 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant. Along with the new car, the company has released a brand new TVC (television commercial) as well. This new commercial shows the updated exterior and interior design of this new hatchback.

The video of the new 2023 Hyundai i20 has been released on YouTube by Hyundai India’s official channel. The video starts off with the car being shown under a spotlight in an empty parking space. The car is then shown starting up, and a person puts the car’s IVT transmission into drive mode and zooms out of the parking. The video then shows the new dual-tone interior design. After this, it shows a ton of paparazzi taking pictures of this new hatchback. Lastly, a man is shown with the key of the i20, unlocking it.

Exterior upgrades

The all-new Hyundai i20 facelift is a mid-life facelift and gets some minor aesthetic changes on the exterior and the interior. On the front, the new 2023 i20 gets a set of brand new all-LED headlights with a single stripe DRL on the top. It also gets a newly designed grille with high-gloss black accents. The front bumper has also been changed, and it is now a little more aggressive in appearance with arrow-shaped functional air dams on the side.

Talking about the side, the side profile of the new i20 remains the same and does not get any changes. On the rear as well, the changes are minimal as it only gets a redesigned bumper, which now gets a massive gloss black portion with an equally silver skid plate. The rest of the rear end is the same with the same signature Z-shaped LED taillights and connecting chrome bar in the middle.

Interior upgrades

Moving on to the interior side of things, just like the exterior, not much has changed. The new i20 facelift gets the same dashboard design used in the previous model. There are only a few changes, including the addition of a dual-tone finish with the top half finished in black and the bottom portion completed in grey. A further significant improvement to the interior of the new i20 facelift is the addition of ambient lighting, a BOSE premium 7-speaker system, and a tactile volume knob for the identical 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, everything else is the same as the pre-facelift model.

Other updates on the interior include new semi-leatherette seats, leatherette door armrests, a new leather-wrapped D-Cut steering wheel, and an immersive ambient sound experience with seven nature-inspired soundscapes. Additionally, the new facelifted i20 also gets 60+ connected car features, 127 Embedded VR commands, 52 Hinglish voice commands, Over-the-Air updates, Multilanguage UI support with 10 Regional and 2 International languages, and a Type-C charger.
