Mahindra Thar just got more expensive!

Mahindra Thar has been India’s favourite lifestyle SUV and sells in large numbers. Soon, it will be launched in 5-door. Last month, Mahindra had even showcased the EV concept version at its FutureScape event. However, Mahindra has done some revisions with pricing and has hiked the pricing across all the variants. So how much will it cost now?

The Mahindra Thar was initially offered in 4WD version and later an affordable RWD version was also launched. The Thar comes at a starting price of Rs 13.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and goes all the way up to Rs 20.64 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Mahindra Thar – Revised Prices

Talking about the price revisions, the AX (O) hard-top diesel MT RWD and the LX hard-top diesel MT RWD versions have received a price hike of Rs 43,500. Whereas the LX hard-top petrol AT RWD variant has received a price hike of Rs 28,001. Rest all the variants have witnessed a price hike of Rs 16,200.

So the AX (O) hard-top diesel MT RWD will now cost you around Rs 13.75 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) while the LX hard-top diesel MT RWD will cost you around 15.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Whereas the LX hard-top petrol AT RWD will now cost you around Rs 17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)

So for those who are planning to buy a Thar will have to pay an extra amount of Rs 16,200 to Rs 43,500, depending on the variants. The engine, mechanics and features continue to remain the same.
