All Hyundai cars now get this safety feature as standard

Car safety has quickly become a mainstream point in the last few years. This has been made possible by the awareness raised by manufacturers like Tata, Mahindra, Volkswagen & Skoda. Now another manufacturer joining this bandwagon for good is Hyundai. Earlier today, Verna became the first Hyundai car to score a 5-star crash test rating at GNCAP. Now Hyundai has standardised some new safety features across its lineup. In today’s article, let’s talk about Hyundai safety features.

Standard

Hyundai safety features

Hyundai has made 6-airbag standards across all its cars. Some of its cars like the Creta, Verna, Exter and Tucson already came with 6 airbags. Now Hyundai has introduced 6-airbags across its lineup including the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Venue and Venue N Line. This makes Hyundai the first mass-market car brand in India to do so.

Hyundai has also standardised 3-point seatbelt – all seats and seat belt reminder – all seats standard across all its cars. Other safety features like electronic stability control, hill start assist control, and tyre pressure monitoring are also available as standard on most cars, while few have them as optional on higher variants.

Hyundai is also quickly making ADAS available on more of its cars. Recently it added ADAS to the Venue. In the future, we can expect ADAS on the Hyundai Creta facelift and probably even on the i20.

More crash-test-rated cars coming

Hyundai is not stopping with the result of the Hyundai Verna. At the Hyundai safety event, the brand stated that it has volunteered to send 3 models for the upcoming Bharat NCAP tests. Though not confirmed, we can speculate that these three models could be the Exter, i20 and upcoming Creta facelift. We hope all these models perform well and increase the safety aspect of cars in India.
