Tata Harrier EV spotted testing for the first time?

Tata is on a car launching spree in the Indian market. Last month, it launched the much-awaited Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts. This month, it is going to launch the Harrier and Safari facelifts. It is also working on a sleeve of EVs, including the Harrier EV. We have covered the Harrier EV before too, but now we have spy shots that could probably be of the Harrier EV. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Harrier EV.

Spy shots

The spy shots were sent to us by MRD Racer 5. In this, we can see a heavily camouflaged test mule of the Harrier. It doesn’t reveal anything new that we don’t know i.e. the new design, bonnet-wide DRL design. Surprisingly, the test mule comes with the same alloy wheels and tail light design. In the interiors, the main highlights like the bigger floating infotainment system and 4-spoke steering wheel are expertly covered. Still, all this doesn’t point that this is an EV? So how are we saying this is an EV? Stick with us as we clear all your doubts.

Tata Harrier EV rear tail pipe

MRD Racer 5 managed to take underbelly spy shot of the rear of the Harrier. In this, we cannot spot the tailpipe. For comparison, you can easily spot the tailpipe in the current ICE Harrier. So, this raises a major speculation that this test mule is of the Harrier EV. If it is indeed the EV version, it is the first spotting of the Harrier EV. Tata could be testing EV components on an older test mule of Harrier to trick enthusiasts.

Specifications

The Harrier EV is expected to have a claimed range of around 550km with a real-life range of 400km. Also, the Harrier EV is certainly coming with an AWD setup as confirmed by Tata Motors in the interview, which you can check out here
