Kia launched its first product in India back in 2019. The Seltos quickly gained buyers’ attention and also became one of the most popular SUVs in its segment. In the next couple of years, Kia expanded its lineup, and they currently have five models, including the flagship electric car, the EV6. Kia also launched the previous generation Carnival luxury MPV in India. It was on sale for a few years, and after some time, they silently discontinued it. When foreign markets got the newer generation, we were still getting the older generation model. However, it looks like things are about to change. A facelift version of the current-gen Carnival was spotted testing, and the same is expected to launch in India as well.
The spy pictures have been shared by Team-Bhp on their website. Kia has been testing the Carnival internationally for some time. This is probably the first time we are seeing an undisguised image of the MPV. The car was spotted testing in South Korea. When compared to the version we had in India, this is a generation ahead. Internationally, this is actually the facelift for the current-generation Carnival. The exterior of the MPV looks redesigned, and it looks a lot more premium as well.

The major attraction here is the large Tiger Nose front grille. The grille has chrome garnishes in it. The headlamp gets a vertical design with LED DRLs extending into the grille. This is similar to what we have seen in the Kia Seltos. The front bumper of the MPV also gets a revised design. We can see a silver-colored skid plate on the lower part of the bumper. The side profile of the MPV looks similar to what was offered internationally. However, the design of the alloy wheels does look different. The dual-tone alloy wheels with gloss black elements look different.
The spy picture also shows the rear of the upcoming MPV. The rear has also been redesigned. It now comes with a tail lamp setup that looks similar to what we have in the Kia Seltos facelift. It is an all-LED unit with an LED bar extending into the tailgate. We can see a roof-mounted spoiler, roof rails, shark fin antenna, a redesigned rear bumper with provisions for reverse lamps, and reverse parking sensors. The reverse parking camera is positioned just above the registration plate.
The interior of the upcoming Kia Carnival is also expected to be revised. According to reports, the MPV is expected to come with a curved display for the infotainment and instrument cluster. Similarly, it would continue to offer features like multi-zone climate control, a dual electric sunroof, rear seat entertainment screens, heated and cooled seats, a multi-function steering wheel, leather seat covers, electronic parking brakes, and so on. The upcoming Kia Carnival facelift is also expected to get ADAS features, which are becoming a lot more common in cars from this segment. Kia is expected to launch this model in India sometime next year, and, just like the previous version, this one would also be sold as a CKD product.
