Honda electric two-wheeler debuts! Could this be the Activa EV?

Honda as a brand has firmly established itself in the two-wheeler segment. Its scooter and bike just sell on the strong Honda nameplate. But Honda needs to be proactive with a lot of start-ups entering the electric space. Honda currently doesn’t have any electric two-wheelers in its portfolio. However, it is working on it and has revealed a new electric scooter concept. In today’s article, let’s talk about Honda electric two-wheeler.

The SC e: electric concept comes with a compact footprint. Overall it has a simple design and doesn’t come with a radical design like some of the newer electric scooters. At the front, you get headlamps sandwiched between DRLs. It gets some blue highlights to showcase its EV nature. Other highlights include a single-piece seat and flat footboard. The battery pack is fitted under the seat which could hamper boot space. Like other EVs, Honda has kept space for a digital instrument cluster but it wasn’t installed on this concept.

The SC e: electric concept comes with something Honda calls a Mobile Power Pack. Essentially, it comes with two swappable batteries. Honda is claiming that the scooter will come with good speed and range but didn’t reveal the exact figures. Other specs of the concept include a rear-mounted motor, telescopic front suspension, single shock absorber at the rear. Braking is handled by a disc at the front and a drum at the rear.
