Hyundai Creta is offered with two engine options – a 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Talking about the diesel engine, it is a 1.5-litre unit which is capable of producing 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. With diesel, you get options for manual and automatic transmission. Buyers interested for petrol engines, it gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 113bhp and 144Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with CVT and manual transmissions. However, on the top variants, Hyundai Creta only gets a CVT gearbox for petrol engine.

The Harrier on the other hand is offered with only one diesel engine option. Although a single option, the Harrier’s engine is bigger and more powerful than Creta’s diesel engine. It gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with manual and automatic transmission. However, if you are willing to pay around Rs 1.65 lakh over the Pure + S variant, you will get an automatic variant with Pure + S. Also, for the automatic variant it gets some specific features like Paddle Shifters and E-Shifter.
