Citroen’s Tata Curvv rival spotted testing again!

The French automaker Citroen entered India with their C5 Aircross SUV. The SUV was launched to rival the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and other SUVs. But despite offering amazing ride quality and comfort, the C5 Aircross couldn’t do well. That said, the brand later entered lower segments like micro SUV and C SUV with the products like C3 and C3 Aircross. However, the brand seems to launch another C SUV – the Citroen C3X – which is said to be the crossover SUV which could be based on the C3 Aircross. The SUV was spotted testing and this is how it could look.

The test mule was heavily camouflaged but we do get a hint of the headlamp setup. It looks similar to other Citroen SUVs with split headlamp setup. It gets a yellow light on the top which could be replaced by LED DRLS and the main unit underneath. The test mule could be the base model as it was spotted with halogen headlamps. Towards the side the test mule was spotted running on 16-inch steel rims. Interestingly, the rear was sporting an additional camouflage and we believe it was done to hide the coupe design of the SUV. Rest, the test mule revealed the new LED tail lamp setup of the SUV.

Citroen C3X – Other Details

The interior was not spotted but we could expect a similar layout like the C3 Aircross. On the feature front we can expect the SUV to equip with – 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity, tilt-adjustable steering, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, TPMS, remote keyless entry, and a front armrest. Powering the C3X crossover could be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 109bhp and 190Nm of torque. The engine can be paired with a manual as well as a torque converter automatic gearbox.
