Recently, the company shared the full-length video of its “Final Test.” In this video, the company showcased the capabilities of the new Himalayan 450, which the company officials took from Chennai to Umling La, the highest motorable pass in the world.

The main premise of this video is that it shows the entire journey of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle’s final shakedown test. For this unique, highly adventurous, and ambitious test, the company took a few of the very first production Himalayan 450 bikes from the assembly line to the highest motorable pass in the world.

The journey of the Himalayan 450’s final test video commenced at Royal Enfield’s main factory in Oragadam, Chennai. The main emphasis of this video was the Royal Enfield team riding this newly manufactured bike from an elevation of 22 feet at their factory to the elevation of 19,024 feet at the Umling La Pass in Ladakh. It has been stated by the company that not even a single bolt has been carried forward from the outgoing model. The new Himalayan 450 gets an entirely new steel trellis frame, and its design has been completely changed.

The Himalayan 450 features a much larger sculpted fuel tank, and the guards around the front have also been changed. It gets a new front mudguard, and the round headlamp at the front is now an all-LED unit. Apart from this, it features a decently sized front windshield as well. The most significant change on the front of the bike is the new USD fork suspension setup. Meanwhile, on the rear, it gets a single shock absorber.

Regarding the powerplant of the Himalayan 450, the company has given it the brand’s first liquid-cooled engine. This new engine is called the Sherpa 450, and dyno figures show that it produces around 40 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque. Apart from this, the bike will have a six-speed transmission. It has been reported that the bike will have an unloaded weight of 196 kg.

The new Himalayan 450 gets a new digital instrument gauge cluster. This new screen includes Bluetooth connectivity, a full map view, call alerts, and other important vehicle functions like the speedometer and tachometer. Additionally, this adventure bike will come with tubeless spoked wheels. In terms of available colors, according to reports, the Himalayan 450 will be offered in Kamet White, Hanle Black, Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, and Pangong Blue.
