Volkswagen Taigun to get a special edition soon!

The Taigun is doing decent sales for the German brand. Still, it is nowhere near the sales of its other C-SUV competitors. So, to keep the SUV fresh, Volkswagen is bringing another special edition of the SUV called the ‘Trail’. The brand is soon going to launch it and ahead of the launch, its details have surfaced online. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition.

Exterior changes

Volkswagen is going for a rugged look for the Taigun Trail edition. To that effect, we get to see the functional roof bars, which are not offered on any other SUV in this segment. Then we have some decals with trail badging and 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels & red brake callipers. Volkswagen will be offering the Trail edition in Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Matte colours.

Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition – Interiors changes

In the interiors, Volkswagen is trying a sporty look with black upholstery. This is well complemented by red stitching and ‘Trail’ inscribed into the seats. Another new thing is the red ambient lighting on the Taigun like the one offered on the Kushaq Monte Carlo. To have that sporty look, we also get aluminium pedals.

Specifications

The Trail edition will be based on the higher variants of the Taigun, so should continue with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol edition. This engine is capable of producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options should continue as manual and automatic gearboxes.

Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition – Launch & pricing

Volkswagen is going to launch the Trail edition on 2nd November 2023. What about the pricing? It is expected to sit above the GT Plus variant. The Trail edition could start from Rs 23 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).
