The Chennai-based bikemaker Royal Enfield will soon be launching the new Himalayan 452 adventure in India. The company has announced November 7 as the official launch date for the newly built Himalayan 452. However, just before its official launch, the official brochure for this upcoming motorcycle has been leaked. The brochure fully reveals all the technical specifications, features, and colors of the new Himalayan 452.

First and foremost, let’s talk about all the important details about the new 452cc engine, which will be housed inside the new steel trellis frame of the bike. This is the first time in the history of Royal Enfield that one of their bikes has been given a liquid-cooled engine. The new engine has been named Sherpa 452 and will come equipped with a single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve setup.

In terms of the power specifications of this semi-dry sump engine, it will produce around 40 bhp at 8000 rpm. In terms of torque, it will generate around 40 Nm. The new engine will come mated to a 6-speed wet clutch, which will also offer slip and assist. The new Himalayan 452 will also feature ride-by-wire.

Himalayan 452 Suspension and Brakes

The new Himalayan 452 will come equipped with a steel, twin-spar tubular frame, which will be the base of the new bike. Meanwhile, in terms of suspension, it will be offered with an upside-down fork suspension at the front. Additionally, on the rear, it will get a monoshock suspension. The front wheel will have a total travel of an impressive 200 mm, and on the rear as well, it will have 200 mm of travel.

Coming to the braking and tire setup on the new Himalayan 452, it will come equipped with a 21-inch spoked wheel at the front. While on the rear, it will come equipped with a 17-inch spoked wheel. Some sources have said that these spoked wheels will also be tubeless. Braking duties on the new Himalayan 452 will be handled by 320 mm hydraulic disc brakes at the front, while the rear will get a 270 mm disc brake caliper. The bike will also get switchable dual-channel ABS.

In terms of dimensions, the new Himalayan 452 will be 2245 mm in length, 852 mm in width, 1316 mm in height, and will offer a 1510 mm wheelbase, and 230 mm ground clearance. The overall weight of the bike in its dry state will be around 181 kgs, and with 90% fuel and all the oils, it will weigh around 196 kgs. It will offer a payload capacity of 198 kgs. In total, the fuel tank of the new Himalayan 452 will have a capacity of 17 liters.

As for the features, the new Himalayan 452 will come equipped with a brand new circular LED headlight. All of the turn indicators, along with the rear tail lamp, will also be all-LED units. The bike will offer multiple ride modes as well as a USB Type-C charging port. Another one of the most technologically advanced features will be its new 4-inch round TFT display with phone connectivity, full map navigation, and media controls.

The upcoming Himalayan 452 will be offered by the brand in 5 distinct colors. The first will be the Hanle Black, which will come with gold accents throughout.
