Aiming to boost the sales this Diwali, VW has launched a special edition of their Taigun SUV. This new edition will be called the GT Edge Trail Edition and it will be based on the regular mid-spec GT variant of the Tagiun. The pricing is out and it costs the same as the mid-spec Taigun GT. Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition – Price
The new GT Edge Trail Edition has been launched at Rs 18.95 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The pricing of this new edition is identical to the standard GT trim. Also, the GT Edge Trail edition will be on sale only for a limited period of time.
Exterior changes
With the new Trail Edition you will get cosmetic upgrades over the regular Taigun. On the exterior, the Trail Edition will be offered in Carbon Steel Grey, Relfex Silver and Candy White body paints. The trail edition now comes with functional roof bars which is currently not offered on any other C SUV. Other changes include – decals with trail badging on rear fenders, C-pillars and doors, 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake callipers, and ‘Trail’ badging on the tailgate.
Interior changes
In the interiors, Volkswagen is trying a sporty look with black upholstery. This is well complemented by red stitching and ‘Trail’ inscribed into the seats. Another new thing is the red ambient lighting on the Taigun like the one offered on the Kushaq Monte Carlo. To have that sporty look, we also get aluminium pedals.
Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition – Specifications
The Volkswagen Taigun Trail edition will be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. The unit produces 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual only for the Trail edition.
