Maruti Alto K10

The most affordable automatic car in India is the Alto K10. Last year, Alto received a major update giving it a new look and new specifications. The pricing of the AMT gearbox on the Alto K10 starts from Rs 6.60 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This AMT gearbox is paired with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 66bhp and 89Nm of torque. The AMT gearbox delivers a claimed mileage of 24.9kmpl. Feature-wise, the Alto K10 comes with a SmartPlay studio infotainment system, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, etc. 

Affordable automatic cars – Maruti S-Presso

Following the Alto, we have the S-Presso. The S-Presso comes with the same setup as the Alto K10. Again we have the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 66bhp and 89Nm of torque. Pricing-wise, you get an AMT gearbox on the S-Presso from a starting price of Rs 6.75 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Feature-wise, the S-Presso comes with almost the same features as the Alto K10 some additional features include, like electrically adjustable mirrors, body-coloured mirrors, Hill Hold Assist and ESP in the AMT variants.

Renault Kwid

Breaking the Maruti monopoly, and the only non-Maruti car on this is the Kwid. In the Kwid, you can get an AMT gearbox from a starting price of Rs 7.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This AMT gearbox is paired with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 67bhp and 91Nm of torque. The Kwid AMT comes with a claimed mileage of 22.3kmpl. Feature-wise, the Kwid comes with an 8-inch infotainment system, hill start assist, steering-mounted controls, a fast USB charger, etc. 

Maruti Celerio 

Next up, we have the Maruti Celerio. The Celerio has dropped off a bit in popularity since its facelift was launched. In the Celerio, you get an AMT gearbox at a starting price of 7.43 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This AMT gearbox is again paired to a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The Celerio AMT comes with a claimed mileage of 26kmpl. Feature-wise, the Celerio comes with a smart play infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start-stop, reverse parking camera, steering mounted controls, electrically adjustable mirrors and keyless entry.

Affordable automatic cars – Maruti WagonR

Rounding off the list is the fourth Maruti car on the list i.e. WagonR. Like other cars on this list, the WagonR comes with an AMT gearbox. This AMT gearbox is offered on both the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (65bhp/89Nm) and 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (88bhp/113Nm). It also comes with a CNG option, but that comes only with a manual gearbox. Feature-wise, the WagonR comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, dual airbags, rear parking sensors, a 4-speaker system, etc. The pricing of the WagonR AMT starts from Rs  7.63 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
