SUVs with Diwali Discount – Mahindra Bolero Neo
First up is the Mahindra Bolero Neo. Formerly known as TUV300, the Bolero Neo is available with a discount of up to Rs 50,000. The Bolero Neo is a rebranded version of the TUV300 but has more features. The feature list includes – Height-adjustable driver seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, power windows, rear washer & wiper with defogger, remote lock, keyless entry, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more. It is a sub-compact SUV which is based on the ladder on frame chassis. The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 100bhp & 260Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and is said to return fuel efficiency of claimed 17.29kmpl.
Mahindra Bolero
Next is another Mahindra SUV, the Mahindra Bolero. Again, a rugged Mahindra SUV which is offered with a maximum discount of Rs 70,000. It is one of the oldest Mahindra on sale and still does pretty good sales figures for the brand. Mahindra kept on updating the SUV with all the Bharat Stage (BS) phases. It is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 75bhp and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The SUV is priced between Rs 11.70 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and Rs 13.10 lakh (on-road Mumbai).
SUVs with Diwali Discount – Maruti Jimny Zeta
Launched a few months ago, the Maruti Jimny is available with a massive discount of Rs 1 Lakh. The offer is available on the entry-level, Zeta variant of Jimny’s line-up. Breaking down the discount format, the Zeta variant of the Jimny gets a flat discount of Rs 50,000 with additional Rs 50,000 offered as loyalty bonus or on exchange. The Jimny is a lifestyle SUV from Maruti that is meant to do some serious off-roading. The Zeta variant of Jimny gets features like – steel wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six airbags, ESP, and a few more. It is powered by the proven 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine which produces 103bhp and 134Nm of torque. The engine is mated to manual and automatic transmissions and the discounts are available on both the transmission options of the Zeta variant. Currently, the price of the Zeta manual is Rs 14.91 lakh, while the price of the Zeta automatic is Rs 16.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Volkswagen Taigun
Moving ahead, we have the C-SUV offering from the German brand, Volkswagen. It is the VW Taigun which is currently available with a discount ranging from Rs 65,000 to Rs 1 Lakh. The Taigun has those VW traits for what the brand is known for. It is a no nonsense SUV with timeless design and minimalistic but functional interiors. Also, it is one of the safest C-SUV as it has scored an impressive 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Powering the SUV are the two turbo petrol engines, a 1.0-litre (113bhp & 178Nm) turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre (148bhp & 250Nm) turbo petrol engine. Both these engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the 1.2-litre unit has an option for 6-speed torque converter whereas the 1.5-litre has an option for a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The VW Taigun is priced at Rs 13.73 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai) up to Rs 23.38 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).
SUVs with Diwali Discount – Mahindra XUV300
Another Mahindra SUV to offer a discount for Diwali is the XUV300. The compact SUV is now available with a maximum discount of up to Rs 1.2 lakh. The reason for such a massive discount could be its rival, the Tata Nexon. The XUV300 is a slow selling car in the segment and lacks in terms of premium appeal and features which the competitors offer. It is powered by two petrol engines and a diesel engine. It comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol (108bhp/200Nm), 1.5-litre TGDi (128bhp/250Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115bhp/300Nm). The 1.5-litre TGDi comes mated with a 6-speed manual while the other two are paired with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT. However, a facelift is bound to come of the XUV300 and it is said that Mahindra could introduce a 6-speed torque converter transmission. Will it come paired with all engine options? Well, we will have to wait for further information.
Jeep Meridian
Jeep Meridian, the 7-seater version of the Jeep Compass is also available with a massive discount. Currently, dealers are offering the Meridian with a discount of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh, depending on the unsold stock. The Meridian competes with the segment leader Fortuner and is currently struggling to beat the Fortuner in terms of sales. It is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic transmission. In terms of features, the Jeep Meridian gets a lot on the equipment list when compared to the Fortuner.
SUVs with Diwali Discount – Jeep Compass
Another Jeep SUV which is falling behind the competition is the Jeep Compass. In fact the Compass was the first product for Jeep in India and is currently available with a discount of Rs 1.45 lakh. The discount offer is available mainly on the AWD variants. Talking about the Compass, it is a rugged looking SUV which offers excellent ride quality. The interiors are premium and the SUV is loaded with modern tech. The Compass is powered by the same 2.0-litre (168bhp & 350Nm) diesel engine that does duties to the Meridian as well. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It was also available with a petrol engine which is now discontinued.
Skoda Kushaq
If the VW Tiguan is offering a discount then the Skoda Kushaq is also expected to offer some festive offers. The SUV is offered with a discount of Rs 1.5 lakh on the higher variants. Similar to the VW, the Skoda also has a straightforward approach in terms of design. The Kushaq is a sharp looking SUV with some strong creases on the bonnet. Also, as the SUV shares the platform with the Taigun, the Kushaq also scored an impressive 5-star crash test rating in the Global NCAP. It is a decently loaded SUV with features like – 10-inch infotainment system, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless charger, six-speaker sound system with subwoofer, single-pane sunroof, auto-dimming IRVMs, and so on. For pricing the Skoda Kushaq has been priced at 13.64 lakh to 23.30 lakh on-road Mumbai while the VW Taigun is priced at 13.73 Lakh to 22.75 Lakh on-road Mumbai.
SUVs with Diwali Discount – Citroen C5 Aircross
The French manufacturer Citroen entered the Indian market with their premium SUV, the C5 Aircross. The SUV is known for its amazing ride quality. The C5 Aircross is struggling to sell and so to attract buyers, Citroen is offering a discount of up to Rs 2 lakh. It comes loaded with features like panoramic sunroof, LED projector headlamps, handsfree boot open, 6-way powered driver seat, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, auto park, and a lot more. The C5 Aircross is available in only one variant which is priced at Rs 45.61 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Mahindra XUV400
The last SUV on the list is again a Mahindra car and is available with the highest discount on any SUV from today’s list. We are talking about the Mahindra XUV400 which is currently offered with a discount of whopping Rs 3.5 lakh. The offer is available on the initial batches of the SUV which lacked a few important features like ESP. The XUV400 is an EV and was launched to take on the Nexon EV. However, the XUV400 couldn’t do much as the Nexon EV completely dominated the EV market. Although the XUV400 is more powerful than the Nexon EV, the Tata’s compact EV SUV simply scores on features list and upmarket appeal. The Mahindra XUV400 is priced from Rs 17.03 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and goes all the way up to Rs 20.21 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
