The pickup truck segment in India is limited to very few vehicles. We have the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu Dmax on the higher segment while there is the Tata Yodha at an affordable price. However, as we all know that Mahindra is also keen to launch an all new pick up truck in India. It is the Scorpio N pick up and it will be based on the current ScorpioN SUV. The concept of Mahindra Scorpio N pik up was showcased a few months back and now it was spotted testing for the first time in India.

Mahindra ScorpioN Pik Up – Spy Shots
In the video you can see the ScorpioN pick up truck on testing and is completely covered with camouflage. Also, only the rear profile was spotted which has revealed a few details. Firstly, the pick up truck was spotted equipped with vertically placed tail lamps. The design is very basic and we believe them to be temporary lights and Mahindra may offer modern looking tail lamps which might be LEDs. There is a lever at the centre of the tailgate to access the bed. The side profile was also spotted which revealed the alloy wheel design of the pick up truck which has a similar design to the Scorpio N SUV. Unfortunately the front part of the pick up truck wasn’t spotted which we may in the coming days. Overall, as we can see in the video, the ScorpioN pick up truck clearly has an amazing road presence.
Compared to Concept
Compared to the concept of the ScorpioN pick up that was showcased a few months ago, the test car has some different elements. Firstly, there was no lever on the tailgate which can be seen on the test car. Also, the alloy wheels are different from the concept car as the test car was spotted with alloy wheels similar to the current ScorpioN. The tail lamps on the test car are although very basic, they might get replaced by the one which was shown on the concept car. Other than that, the production model of the ScorpioN pick up truck could come with a different front grille from the regular ScorpioN and similar to what was shown on the concept model.
Launch Timeline
The Mahindra ScorpioN Pik Up has been spotted testing for the very first time which indicates that Mahindra will look to launch it soon. However, as per prior Mahindra records, they test their vehicles vigorously and take their time before launching the cars. Similarly, we can expect the launch of ScorpioN Pik Up to happen by 2025. Once launched, the ScorpioN Pik Up will be sold not only in India but also will likely be sold in America, Australia, South Africa, and other ASEAN markets.
