The Mahindra Scorpio-N is currently one of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market. What’s more interesting is that its lower variants are the ones that have the majority of bookings. One of the most value-for-money variants, according to a lot of people, is the Z6 trim, and hence, a lot of sales are contributed by this model. Recently, a video of a conversion of one such Z6 variant into Z8 variant has been shared online.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Z6 to Z8
This video of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z6 to Z8 conversion has been shared on YouTube by Vig Auto Accessories on their channel. In this video, the owner of the shop and the presenter start by mentioning that this car has come to their shop all the way from Andhra Pradesh. He mentions that the customer drove his newly purchased Scorpio-N Z6 for 17 hours to visit their shop and get it converted into Z8. Following this, the presenter starts listing off the modifications done by them.
Exterior updates
He starts at the side profile of the vehicle and mentions that the main highlight of this SUV is the new 18-inch wheels. These diamond-cut alloy wheels are the same wheels that are seen on the top-spec Z8 variant. He adds that they have also given the side profile replacement chrome trims and C-Chrome along with genuine Mahindra window visors.
Following the side profile, the presenter moves to the front of the car. He states that for the front, he suggested the owner go for the Z8 variant’s projector LED headlights that come equipped with dynamic swipe indicators. He added that they could have simply added powerful LEDs on the stock headlights, but it would not have looked this good.
He also mentions that they have added a genuine Z8 grille with chrome elements and have painted the inside of the grille high gloss black. They have also added original fog lights and DRLs, which get operated from the factory switches. Next up, the presenter moves to the rear of the car and adds that they have also given the car a brand new reverse camera as well as a genuine Mahindra rear bumper protector.
Interior updates
After showing the exterior upgrades, the presenter opens all of the doors of this Scorpio-N to reveal the brand-new interior. He starts at the rear door and shows the black and champagne gold leather-wrapped door cards. He mentions that they have also added high gloss black window surrounds and have also painted the insides of the door handles black.
After this, he adds that they have also given the car black and champagne gold perforated leather seat covers. Also, to match the floor, they have added a diamond-quilted pattern floor mat, which also gets the same colors. He then shows the front of the car and shows the same gold leather-wrapped steering wheel and dashboard. Apart from this, he adds that they have also given the car ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates with the Scorpio-N logo.
Finally, he mentions that just like all of their projects, they have given an upgrade to the audio setup. The presenter states that they have added Sony ES series components on all doors and have also added a Sony XM-GS4 amplifier as well. He concluded by stating that the entire job of the interior transformation was done by them in just 6 hours.
