With the launch happening on 14th December, Kia has started the campaign by teasing the Sonet facelift. They earlier gave us a glimpse of the headlamps and interiors but now in a new teaser we can see the digital instrument cluster which also shows a feature of ADAS!

Kia Sonet facelift – Digital Instrument Cluster
In the new video we can see the new digital instrument cluster on the Sonet facelift. After the Kia Seltos got this feature, it was expected on the Sonet facelift too. Now, for the first time ever we have a clear view of this system. In fact, the digital instrument on the Sonet facelift is a full colour screen and not the one we have in the Hyundai Venue. The digital instrument has also revealed the presence of ADAS as it is displaying ‘forward collision warning’. We are expecting camera based ADAS from the Venue with similar features like – forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, lane following assist, high beam assist and leading vehicle departure alert.
New Tail Lamps
Even the rear profile has been revealed in this video. At the rear, we can see the all new tail lamp setup. It gets connected LED tail lamps which mimics the design of the Seltos facelift. The other visible elements are rear wiper washer, LED high mount stop lamp, and rear roof spoiler. Other than that, it will get redesigned rear bumpers.
Kia Sonet facelift – Engine Specifications
What will remain the same are the engine options. Kia Sonet currently gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 81bhp and 115Nm torque, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 118bhp and 172Nm torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. The transmission options include – manual, iMT, DCT, and torque converter.
Launch and Pricing
The all new Kia Sonet facelift is all set to make public appearance on 14th December. However, the prices will be announced next year in January. With all the new features coming in, we are expecting the Kia Sonet facelift to be priced between Rs 9.13 lakh to Rs 18.70 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
