Tata Sierra EV: What the production version will look like

Tata Motors, back in January of this year at the Auto Expo, rekindled the love of Indian SUV lovers with its Sierra SUV concept. Eleven months later, images of the patents filed by the company for this upcoming SUV have been leaked online. Based on these recent patent images, a few real-life renderings of the forthcoming Tata Sierra EV have been created. These images show how bold and muscular the new Tata Sierra EV will be.

Tata Sierra EV Rendering

These rendered images of the new Tata Sierra EV have come courtesy of Motorbeam. As mentioned above, these renderings have been created with the help of the official patent images that were recently leaked. Hence, most likely, the production version of the Sierra EV could look like this rendered model. Starting off with the design details of the rendered Sierra EV, we can note that the SUV will boast a massive road presence with its bold and muscular yet classy design.

Exterior Design Details: Front

In terms of the design at the front, the all-new Tata Sierra will pride itself with an extremely futuristic fascia. The main highlight of its front fascia will be the thick connected daytime running LED, which will span from one end to the other. The car will also get a distinct muscular bonnet with two striking lines that will extend till the front bumper. Talking about the front bumper, it will house the split LED headlights, which will be set up in a split headlamp design. A massive silver skid plate with small LED lights can also be noted in the rendered image.

Side Profile

Moving on to the side profile of this brawny SUV, the new Tata Sierra EV will boast a massive and boxy silhouette, which looks extremely imposing. The front and rear fenders will house trapezoidal-shaped wheel arches, which will be laced with thick matte black claddings. One of the major highlights of the side profile is the new Y-shaped gunmetal grey alloy wheels, which most likely will be 19 inches in diameter like the top-spec Safari facelift.

Additionally, the car will also get thick black side claddings on the lower portions of the front and rear doors. The rendered image also shows the SUV equipped with flush-type door handles and rather small ORVMs. The window section of the Sierra EV looks big, which will translate to an airy feel in the cabin when combined with its massive height. The D-pillar of the SUV will boast a black portion to give the SUV a floating roof appearance. At the moment, the rear end design of this SUV has not been rendered, but most likely, it will continue the same futuristic design language.

At the moment, no images of the interior have been shared online for the production-spec model. However, back in January, the company showcased a futuristic-looking interior design in its concept car. The concept SUV was seen with the illuminated Tata logo, a flat-bottom steering wheel, along with a massive digital instrument gauge cluster, and touchscreen infotainment screen. Most likely, the Sierra EV will get the same equipment as the Tata Safari facelift; however, it will be disclosed in the coming months.

Powertrain Specifications

At the moment, no official powertrain specifications have been shared by Tata Motors. However, the Sierra SUV will be first launched as an electric-only model. But later down the line, the company will be offering ICE variants of this SUV, which will include the new company’s newly showcased 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
