The Seltos continues to lead the sales chart in the C-SUV segment. With the facelift, Kia has addressed most of the weaknesses of the Seltos and is one of the most complete products in its category. However, three new rivals will take on the Seltos next year. So which are these 3 Seltos rivals? Let’s find out.

Hyundai Creta facelift
Hyundai’s next big launch is going to be the Creta facelift next year. According to rumours, Hyundai plans to unveil the SUV on 16th January 2024. We expect major changes including a new Palisade-like design. Exterior changes could include new square-shaped LED tail lamps, new alloy wheels and new front & rear bumpers. In the interior, we could see a tweaked dashboard with a floating infotainment system. We could also see new upholstery and colours. Talking about new features, we could see a 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, Multi colour ambient lighting etc. Also, the facelift is certainly going to get level-2 ADAS like the Seltos. The Creta facelift is also expected to get the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Pricing-wise, we can expect a hike of Rs 70k to 80k depending upon the variants.
Tata Curvv
Tata is finally entering the C-SUV space with the Curvv. To stand out from the competition, the Curvv comes with a coupe SUV design that should give it SUV characteristics without compromising on the dynamics. The Curvv is going to come with ICE and EV powertrains. In terms of its ICE specifications, it is going to come with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (167bhp/280Nm). Transmission options could include a manual and a DCA gearbox. The lower variants could come with the new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (123bhp/225Nm). Diesel duties will be handled by the 1.5-litre engine. Tata could retune it a bit for the Curvv. Feature-wise, the Curvv is expected to come with a 12.3-inch infotainment, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and more. Curvv EV is expected by mid-2024 and the ICE version is expected a few months after the EV version.
New Seltos rivals – Citroen C3X
Another coupe SUV that could take on the Seltos and other C-SUVs is the C3X. Citroen is already testing the car in India and it is expected to be launched sometime in 2024. The C3X like other Citroen cars come with vertical LED DRLs enclosing the headlamps. Citroen should at least give the C3X LED headlamps instead of Halogen. The interiors are expected to be similar to the C3 Aircross. Citroen should try to improve the premium quotient as its strategy of offering bare-bones at a lower price is not working. Under the hood, the C3X could come with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. Hopefully, Citroen offers an automatic gearbox in addition to the manual. The C3X is expected to be launched by mid-2024. The C3X will also come with an electric version later on.
