Mahindra’s Oldest SUV Finally Gets An Update

Like every other automaker, Mahindra cars has also introduced a special edition model of its existing lineup this festive season. Now to boost sales of Scorpio Classic during this festive season, the brand has launched a new Boss edition. So, what new things do we get in this new Mahindra Scorpio Boss edition models? New Mahindra Scorpio Launched – Boss Edition

The brand has now released images introducing key details of the new edition. It is a dealer-level upgrade that’s essentially an accessory pack with a few visual changes to the interior and exterior over the standard model. Edition specific changes on the new Scorpio include dark chrome shade around front grille, fog lamps, bonnet scoop, tail lights and door handles. Moreover, it also gets an added front bumper extender and silver skid plate along with carbon fibre finish for the ORVMs. The black elements and add-ons on the exterior offer a more rugged look to the SUV.

Talking about the interiors, the SUV gets black seats upholstery with new seat pillows and a comfort kit for passengers. While the other features include, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking camera, cruise control and climate control among others in its package. Currently, Mahindra has only revealed the images of the new Scorpio Boss Edition while the prices for the same are yet to be announced. We expect the new Scorpio edition to get a price hike of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.

What Else?

The special edition will not get any specific mechanical update. The Scorpio Boss edition will be powered with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 130 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
