Earlier it was expected that Maruti will launch the new Dzire by the end of September. However, now the brand has announced plans to launch its upcoming compact sedan by 4 November 2024. As the launch is planned towards the end of this festive  season, the brand is betting high on its sales. Talking about the price, the model will undergo a major update, expect a significant price hike of up to Rs 1 lakh on the new model.

What Else 

Maruti Dzire Rear

As we have already tipped, the new gen Maruti Dzire will undergo minor exterior changes including a new grille, redesigned bumper and headlamp, new tailgate design and 15-inch new alloy wheels. Additionally, the new generation model will offer first-in-segment features like an electric sunroof along with a 360 degree camera and a blind spot monitor among others. While these new features are expected to be equipped on the selective or top trims of the model. We also expect the next-gen Maruti Dzire to come provided with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and more as standard to enhance safety.

Apart from these features we expect the new Dzire to offer a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push button start, wireless charger automatic climate control and Arkamys sound system among others on the inside.

Maruti Dzire Launch Date – Powertrain 

Talking about the powertrain, the new Dzire will share the Swift’s Heartect platform along with the new Z-series petrol engines. The new 1.2-litre petrol engine is capable of producing 80 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque. The sedan will be offered with both the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox option with an expected mileage of up to 25 kmpl. Additionally, the brand is also expected to launch the model with new CNG powertrain from the Swift on a later date.
