After waiting for its debut for so many months the country largest PV manufacturer Maruti Suzuki finally showcased to the world the YTB codenamed crossover and revealed that it will be called the Fronx in the country. And as was expected the SUV came out to be the same. The company announced that bookings for the Fronx have commenced and interested customers can make their reservations for Rs 11,000 through the website as well as by visiting the dealers. In the meantime, the company has also released the official TVC of this all-new crossover SUV.
The official TVC for Fronx begins with a person heading toward the all-new Fronx in a parking lot that is filled with plane jane cars. The surrounding cars wore some sort of skin to depict how normal they are and hence helping in enhancing the uniqueness of the Fronx. The man then sits inside the Fronx and then makes a reverse sliding maneuver to get out of the parking lot. Following this, a closeup look of the front and rear of the new crossover SUV was shown while it was crossing a bridge.

Later the car comes to a stop light where a woman sitting next to the Fronx in a similar skin-wearing vehicle pulls down her sunglasses to have a better look of the all-new Fronx. The person then zooms past and the scenario then changes to a country side back road. Then again these weird looking skin wearing cars arrive and the person driving the Fronx shows the new cars agility by maneuvering it sportingly through the traffic. The TVC then also shows the Fronx racing against a bullet train as well to signify the performance of this new vehicle. Following this the driver then takes the car to dirt road and again beats two vehicles and finally does a good drift emphasizing the off-road characteristics of the Fronx.
Maruti Suzuki unveiled the Fronx at the second day of the 2023 Auto Expo and announced that the model will be avaiable for retail via the NEXA showrooms. In the lineup of all of the Maruti Suzuki vehicles this crossover SUV sits above the hatchback Baleno, compact SUV Brezza but sits below the top-of-the-line sub compact SUV Grand Vitara. As of yet the company has not announced the pricing of this new vehicle but we can expect it to be somewhere in the range of Rs 8 to 12 lakh in the country. As mentioned interested buyers can reserve one for a sum of Rs 11,000.
There will be five different variants of the brand-new crossover SUV: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. Additionally, there will be a choice of a 1.0L Turbo Boosterjet engine or a 1.2L Dual Jet Dual VVT engine for the vehicle’s drivetrain. The 998 cc 1.0L Turbo Boosterjet has a power output of 73.6 kW at 5500 rpm and a torque output of 147.6 Nm at 2,000–4,500 rpm. Meanwhile the 1,197 cc 1.2L Dual Jet Dual VVT engine produces 66 kW at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4,400 rpm of torque. Regenerative braking and electric torque assistance are included with the latter.
