Royal Enfield Interceptor & Continental GT650 with alloy wheels and new paint schemes: Leaked pictures

Royal Enfield is one of the most popular two-wheeler brand in the brand. Royal Enfield currently offers a variety of single-cylinder and twin-cylinder motorcycles in the market. The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were the first twin-cylinder motorcycles from the market. Like any other Royal Enfield model, these motorcycles also gained popularity among buyers. Till date, Royal Enfield was offering these motorcycles only with spoke wheels. It looks like Royal Enfield is planning an update for 650 twins. Some pictures of the upcoming Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have leaked online.

Most of the Royal Enfield motorcycles, the 650 twins also have a retro-looking modern design. The spoke wheels go well with the overall look of the motorcycle. However, there were many customers who were complaining about the same and were looking for aftermarket alloy wheel options. Royal Enfield has probably heard their prayers now and come with this update. In the pictures that are now available online, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are available with new set of black alloy wheels.

With the addition of alloy wheels, the 650 twins are likely to offer tubeless tyres too. With spoke units that were offered earlier the tyres were not tubeless. Other than this, the motorcycle gets other changes too. The engine cover is normally finished in chrome and so is the exhaust. This has been revised and it is now finished in matte black shade. This changes the overall look of the motorcycle. In fact, it looks like Royal Enfield completely removed chrome elements from the motorcycles to give it a modern look.

Royal Enfield will also be offering the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in new shades. From the pictures that are available online, the Interceptor 650 will be offered in a Teal and Black shade dual-tone shade. There are Orange and Yellow vinyls on the tank in this version. Another shade that will be offered with the Interceptor will be Black and Bronze.  Coming to the Continental GT 650, we see a Grey shade with Orange stickers on the fuel tank. The side covers and other elements are all finished in black. Royal Enfield will also be offering an all-black shade for the Continental with Blue vinyl on the tank. The colours on Interceptor 650 are called both bikes get two new colour options, which are Black Ray and Barcelona Blue. Official names of the colour on Continental GT are Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey.

Other than this, Royal Enfield will also offer LED headlamps instead of halogen units. The 650 twins would also get a USB charger and the switchgear on these motorcycles would also be changed. They would get switches which we have seen on motorcycles like RE Hunter 350. The alloy are currently offered only with the blacked-out versions however, Royal Enfield might offer alloy wheel as an accessory for older customers in future. Mechanically everything remains the same in these motorcycles. They are both powered by the 648-cc, parallel-twin engine that generates 47 Bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque. This engine would also become compliant with the upcoming emission norms.
