Mahindra Bolero Neo N8 (R) variant spotted at dealership ahead of launch [Video]

Last year Mahindra launched the rebadged TUV300 as Bolero Neo in the market. Along with the name, Mahindra also made some changes to the design and features of this compact SUV to attract new set of audience. The Bolero Neo is the only RWD compact SUV in the sub-4 meter segment. It looks like Mahindra is now planning to introduce a new variant with the Bolero Neo SUV. This new variant is called N8 (R) and it is positioned between the N8 and N10 variants. The SUV has already started teaching dealerships and here we have detailed walkaround video of the same.

The video has been uploaded by SANDEEP MALIK on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about all things that are being offered with this new variant. The new N8 (R) variant is yet to be officially launched in the market but, it looks like Mahindra will be doing a soft launch of the same. Coming to the exterior, the design of the Bolero Neo remains the same as before. The LED DRL which is missing on the N8 variant can be seen on this new variant. The headlamps are halogen units and so are the turn indicators. The front grille is finished in grey colour with vertical slats and Mahindra’s new logo.

As this is not the top-end model, Mahindra is not offering fog lamps with the SUV. The side profile of the SUV looks the same with a thick plastic band running throughout the length of the SUV. The SUV still gets 15 inch steel rims with wheel caps. At the rear, the spare wheel is mounted on the tailgate and the third row gets bench seats which can be accessed from the boot. There is not much of a boot space with all three-row seat up.

The interior of the Bolero Neo remain the same as before. It gets a grey coloured fabric seats and all four windows get power window buttons. The door gets black coloured inserts. and the AC vents have silver colour inserts too. The seat cannot be adjusted for height and the steering is only adjustable for tilt. The main addition in this new N8(R) variant is the addition of a touchscreen infotainment system. It was not available with the regular N8 variant. The speakers are placed on the doors and there are buttons to control this infotainment system on the sterrng wheel.

This is the same unit that we have seen in the Mahindra XUV300 SUV. The instrument cluster on this SUV is the same as before. It is taken from Mahindra Thar. Coming to the engine and transmission options, Mahindra is offering a 1.5 litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that generates 100 Ps and 260 Nm of peak torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission option only. The price for the N8 variant of Bolero Neo is Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom and the N10 is Rs 11.21 lakh, ex-showroom. The upcoming N8(R) is likely to be priced somewhere between this.
