In most cases, the car is a surprise gift for an occasion such as a birthday or an anniversary. We have featured many of these videos on our website, and here we have a new video in which a son buys a brand new Mahindra Scorpio N for his father, who had sold all his cars years ago.

The video has been shared by Athul Shylajan, who is a professional chef. He shared the video on his Instagram profile and wrote, “Many years ago, we went through a tough time where my dad had to sell a couple of his favorite vehicles due to debt problems. I still remember that day, where both my dad and I were crying. But he hugged me and told me this: “one day, we will get all this back.” I still hear those words in the back of my head today, which has motivated me to this day to help my dad get back what he lost. Dad, this is for you.”
In this short Instagram reels video that Athul has shared online, he can be seen walking into a Mahindra dealership in Kerala with his parents. His father and mother are both excited about the new purchase. We are not sure whether Athul surprised his father with this new car or whether he was involved in the decision. After entering the dealership, both father and son started checking out a Scorpio N on display and also spoke to the dealership staff. They had already made the booking and were at the dealership to take delivery of the SUV.

After finishing the paperwork, both father and son lift the cloth covering the Scorpio N. The happiness on Athul’s father’s face is quite evident in the video, and after checking the car, Athul makes his father and mother sit on the driver and co-driver seat and drive the car out of the dealership. All these videos have a happy ending, and in this case, it is no different. The whole family was happy with their new purchase, as evident from their faces.
Scorpio N is the latest vehicle offered by Mahindra in India. It was launched last year and quickly became popular among buyers. It has a long waiting period depending on the variant you choose. It is the only SUV in the segment to offer 4×4 as an option. The all-new Scorpio N is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The SUV gets features like leatherette dual-tone upholstery, an electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and so on.
Coming to the engine options, the petrol version of Scorpio N is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged Stallion series engine. This engine generates 200 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque. It is available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. The diesel version of the SUV uses a 2.2-liter mHawk turbocharged engine that generates 172 Bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. This engine is also available with a 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission. The higher models of the diesel variant also get a 4×4 option.
