Tata Harrier facelift design spied upclose!

Tata is having a busy second half of the year. It recently unveiled the new Nexon with a new design and features. But the Nexon is just the start of things and next up several cars in Tata’s lineup are going to major updates. One of them is the Tata Harrier. Now, we have got an up-close view of the Harrier facelift. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Harrier facelift.

Spy shots

Tata is testing the Harrier facelift on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. Jumping straight into the spy shots, we can see the new front design of the Harrier facelift. This design is in line with the design Tata has followed on the Nexon facelift. We have a sharper-looking front with a new grille. Then, we can also see the ADAS radar on the front grille.

The side profile doesn’t have any changes, barring the new alloy wheels. At the rear, we again have a new tailgate design with sleeker-looking tail lamps. Maybe we could see connected tail lamps here, like the one spotted on the Safari facelift

Tata Harrier facelift – Other expected new things

The Tata Harrier facelift could get some changes in the interior. We can expect a new dashboard layout with a bigger infotainment system in the middle. Other changes could include touch-sensitive HVAC controls and a two-spoke steering wheel, as we saw on the Nexon facelift.

Specifications

The Harrier facelift will continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine. We don’t expect any power figures to change on the facelift. There are rumours that the facelift could come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. However, we don’t think that will happen as Tata has stated this engine will debut on the Curvv.

Tata Harrier facelift – Launch

Currently, Tata is occupied with the launch of the Nexon facelift and the EV facelift. Once Tata wraps up the launch of the Nexon facelift in mid-September, it will quickly shift focus towards the Harrier/Safari facelift. We expect Tata to launch the Harrier/Safari facelift in October or at max in November. Pricing-wise, the Safari facelift could be Rs 60k to 80k, more expensive than the current top model pricing.
