Honda Elevate

First and foremost, the Japanese automotive giant Honda Cars India launched the much-awaited Elevate mid-size SUV. The company has launched its first global mid-size SUV made in India with a starting price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh. The top-spec model goes up to Rs 15.99 lakh. The model boasts a much bolder and squarish design and has quickly garnered a ton of attention. The company is offering this SUV with a single powertrain option of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and gets an optional CVT gearbox. Power stats stand at 121 PS of maximum power and 145 Nm of torque.

MG Astor

Soon after the launch of the Honda Elevate, the British motoring brand MG India launched the all-new Astor Blackstorm in India. The company has introduced this new all-black model with a starting price of Rs 14.48 lakh. This new iteration of the popular mid-size SUV from MG gets a new blacked-out honeycomb grille, black alloy wheels, red front brake calipers, Blackstorm badging, and other aesthetic upgrades. It also gets a new blacked-out interior as well. It also gets new JBL speakers and Sangria red accents on the inside. Mechanically, it remains the same and gets a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine.

Tata Nexon Facelift

Finally, after months of waiting, Tata Motors launched the all-new 2023 Nexon facelift in India with a starting price of Rs 8.10 lakh. The already popular sub-compact SUV now gets a brand new modern-looking exterior and interior along with a ton of new features. The car has been given a complete overhaul, and the deliveries will commence soon. The new car gets split headlamp design, new front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. Mechanically, the car has not been altered except for the addition of a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Tata Nexon EV facelift

Along with the new Nexon facelift, Tata Motors also took the covers off the new Nexon EV facelift as well. The all-new 2023 Nexon EV facelift has been launched with a starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh, and it goes all the way up to Rs 19.94 lakh. The new car gets the same exterior design as the new Nexon facelift but gets some differences like the new front grille and full-width LED DRL light bar at the front. Additionally, it also gets unique features like a massive 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system, V2V (Vehicle-to-vehicle), and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) charging capabilities. The Nexon EV also has not changed mechanically.

Hyundai i20 facelift

This is the only new launch of the month of September so far, which is not an affordable SUV. Hyundai India has launched the all-new facelifted iteration of its popular premium hatchback i20 in India. The company has launched it with a few minor changes on the front, which include a new grille, a set of new LED headlights, and a new front bumper. On the rear, it just gets a new bumper. The interior is also largely the same with the exception of a new dual-tone scheme, ambient lighting, and a Bose 7-speaker premium audio system. Under the bonnet, the Hyundai i20 facelift gets no updates. Pricing for the new i20 facelift starts at Rs 6.99 lakh.

Last but not least, the French automaker Citroen has launched the country’s most affordable compact SUV. This new mid-size SUV has been launched with a starting price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh. As of now, the company has only revealed the pricing of the base variant of this SUV. This new SUV gets a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and produces a maximum of 110 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque.
