The Geneva International Motor Show is arguably the greatest automotive show in the world. This show, which began in 1905, has seen some of the biggest car launches ever, and this year it will be held in Doha, Qatar. A number of huge legacy automakers attend this show every year. However, this year, a new and very unique carmaker will be debuting their supercar at this show. This carmaker is none other than ENTOP, the supercar maker from Afghanistan. The company recently showcased its first prototype, Mada 9, in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

The supercar Mada 9 from Taliban-run Afghanistan was first introduced back in January of this year. After its debut, there was not much information about the car till now. But that has changed – it has now been reported that this prototype supercar from ENTOP will be shown at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show held in Doha, Qatar. The dates for this year’s show are from October 5th till October 14th. The company ENTOP and its founder, Mohammad Reza Ahmadi, shared the video of the Mada 9 leaving the province of Nimroz, Afghanistan, in a shipping container.

The video highlighted the journey of the supercar crossing the Iranian border. It has been reported that the company and its founder ran into some bureaucratic troubles at the time of export of this vehicle. It was stated that there were some legal regulations that prevented the export of cars from Afghanistan. However, this issue was then resolved. Now, whether this issue was resolved by the Taliban has not been made clear.

It was also reported that Mohammad Reza Ahmadi also found himself with some financial troubles during the export of the Mada 9. It was stated that he did not have sufficient funds to help the car reach the Geneva International Motor Show; however, some well-wishers supported him. It was stated that he received around $100,000 from his supporters, which helped him to continue the journey to the motor show.

Mohammad Reza Ahmadi shared that attending the Geneva International Motor Show is extremely important for the company. He added that the car is currently in its prototype stage; however, to make it into a real car, they would need strong financial backing. He added that attending this show will help them in finding some permanent investors who could help them in creating a final production model. He added that this step will be very crucial for the future of Afghan automotive manufacturing.

The Mada 9 currently comes with a Toyota Corolla engine. The engine has been modified for this supercar. Speaking to Afghanistan’s TOLO news, Ghulam Haider Shahamat, the head of ATVI said the engine has been modified in such a manner that it is suitable for higher speeds.
