Taking a step ahead with an aim of conquering the EV segment, Kia has trademarked 8 EV SUVs in India. What are these 8 EV SUVs and by when will they launch? Kia EV Day
October 12 is reserved by Kia as Kia EV day. On this day, Kia will be sharing details of their future plans in the EV segment and may also share details of those 8 EVs. Talking about the names the brand has trademarked in India, the nomenclature starts from EV1 and ranges all the way up to EV9. The nomenclature clearly suggests that EV1 will be the most affordable electric SUV while the EV9 which they have already showcased will be the flagship Kia EV SUV.
All Kia EVs coming to India
While revealing the nomenclature of their upcoming Kia SUVs, the brand also showcased silhouettes of the few. In India, we already have the EV6 while the EV5 was recently debuted in the production avatar globally. The EV5 will first go on sale in China and then will be launched in other markets as well. We will also see the EV4 which we are expecting to be similar in dimensions to the Kia Seltos.
What we are also excited for is the Kia EV9. It is a big, butchy, and a massive 7-seater SUV from the brand. It was showcased earlier in the Indonesia Auto Expo and it was really impressive. Kia may sell the flagship EV9 as a CBU unit in India with an expected price to sit anywhere between Rs 80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) to Rs 90 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
