Nissan Magnite Kuro edition launched! Is it good?

Nissan is surviving solely on the sales of the Magnite in the country. It has several products in the pipeline including the X-Trail and an entry-level electric car. Till then, Nissan is employing the smart tactic of bringing special editions of the Magnite. It has launched the Kuro edition of the Magnite, but what does the Kuro edition pack? In today’s article, let’s talk about the Nissan Magnite Kuro edition. 

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition

The Nissan Kuro edition is based on the higher-spec VX variants of the Magnite. It comes in three choices – Kuro petrol MT, turbo-petrol MT and turbo-petrol CVT. Pricing of the Kuro petrol MT starts from Rs 9.95 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). For pricing of the other variants, check out the table below.

In terms of changes, it comes with a blacked-out exterior and interior. On the exterior, we have Onyx Black colour with a black grille, skid plates, roof rails, black alloys, red brake callipers, headlamps with a black finish and Kuro badging. On the inside, we again have the blacked-out treatment on the door pad and instrument cluster. Some standout features on the Kuro edition include a front armrest, rear AC vents, wireless phone charging and a 360-degree camera with around view monitor.

The Nissan Magnite Kuro edition is available with two engine options. First, we have a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol capable of producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. The second engine is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 98bhp and 160Nm of torque. Both engines are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the turbo petrol also comes with CVT option on the Kuro edition.
