Things in the compact SUV segment have heated up with the launch of the new Nexon. The Nexon has certainly raised the level of this segment with its design and new features. But the competition is not going to take it lying down. Kia is already working on the Sonet facelift and we think Maruti could also introduce a minor update on the Brezza. What to expect?
Maruti generally is not known to tinker much with its cars. So, we don’t expect any major changes on the 2024 Brezza. Overall the exterior and interior should remain the same. We could see a special edition of the Brezza to keep things fresh. Brezza already has a Black edition and we could see something similar from Maruti. Can we expect any new features? Maruti could add some features like 6-airbags standard, TPMS, rear sunshade, auto wipers and front parking sensors. Probably Maruti could even add ADAS to the Brezza, as it has confirmed ADAS on the Grand Vitara in the first half of 2024. These features will certainly help Brezza bridge the gap with the Nexon.

2024 Maruti Brezza – Specifications
The Brezza will continue with its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 101bhp and 136Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a manual and an automatic gearbox. Maruti is also studying the feasibility of offering the 1.0-litre turbo that powers the Fronx on its other cars, this includes the Brezza. So there is an outside chance that we see this engine on the Brezza in 2024. Turbo petrol could make the Brezza an even better proposition in this segment.
Launch
The 2024 Brezza is just speculation for now, but we think Maruti will try to give a minor update to its best-selling SUV. Even if it doesn’t get the update, we can expect price hikes in each quarter, which has become a norm. Currently, the pricing of Brezza starts from Rs 9.66 lakh and goes to Rs 16.62 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
