2024 Maruti Dzire – ADAS, hybrid & more expected?

The Maruti Dzire is one of the best-selling sedans in the country. The Dzire last received an update in 2020 in the form of a facelift with an updated design and better engine. However, the Dzire is soon expected to get a generational update. Last week, Suzuki unveiled the new Swift and we expect similar updates on the 2024 Dzire. So what all to expect? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Maruti Dzire.

Design

Traditionally, the Swift and Dzire have had similar designs with some subtle changes. The new Swift gets design tweaks like the new blacked-out headlamps and air dam. The new Swift is going to come with LED headlamps. Other changes include a new grille with a honeycomb pattern and the Suzuki logo has now been shifted on the hood. It gets an SUV-like clamshell bonnet with a new and evident horizontal shut line. We can expect the Dzire to come with a similar design. The side profile would be more or less similar to the current model. At the rear, we could see a sharper tail lamp design and a reworked tailgate.

2024 Maruti Dzire – Interior & features

The new Dzire is expected to come with a new dashboard layout with dual-tone theme. Like other newer Maruti cars, we could see a floating infotainment system and updated HVAC controls. We could also see new horizontal AC vents replacing the circular design of the outgoing model. The feature list could include – a new 9.0-inch touchscreen system that could get wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, other features could include ventilated seats, ADAS, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold.

Specifications

Suzuki debuted a hybrid engine on the new Swift. However, in India, it is expected to come with a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. According to reports, power figures will remain the same, but torque could be boosted. This engine is expected to deliver good mileage in the new Swift. There are some reports claiming it could achieve a claimed mileage of 35+kmpl, which is mind-boggling. Probably, Maruti also gives a CNG option in India. We can expect similar specifications on the Dzire.

2024 Maruti Dzire – Launch timeline

As stated above, Suzuki recently unveiled the new Swift at the Tokyo Mobility Show 2023. Maruti has also started testing the new Swift in India. New Swift is expected to come to India in the first half of 2024. Though, we don’t know anything about the Dzire for now, we can expect it in a similar time frame. Probably, Maruti launches the new Dzire by mid-2024. What about the pricing? We can expect a major price hike on the new Dzire. Currently, the pricing of Dzire starts from Rs 7.64 lakh and goes to Rs 10.93 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
