2024 Skoda Kushaq facelift – what to expect?

Skoda has found a new direction with its India ‘Project 2.0’. Under this, the brand has launched the Kushaq and Slavia. Now, things change very quickly in the Indian market. We have already seen new models like Grand Vitara, Hyryder and also facelifts like Seltos. In the coming days, we could see the segment leader Creta get a major update. So, Skoda should also plan an update for Kushaq. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Skoda Kushaq facelift.

Design changes

As it is mandatory with facelifts, we could see some tweaks to the exterior. At the front, we could see a slightly tweaked grille, new bumpers and new headlamps. We don’t think the Kushaq will get any radical changes. The side profile will be more or less similar, barring the customary alloy wheel design change. At the rear, we could see a new tail lamp design, could we see a connected tail lamp setup here too? Only time will tell, but considering the trend the possibility is quite high.

2024 Skoda Kushaq – More features?

The interiors of the Kushaq facelift will also get some minor updates. Majorly we could see upholstery and button changes. Could we see new features? We could have some additional features like a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, drive modes and all-disc brakes. Also, with ADAS catching up in this segment, Skoda will need to offer ADAS on the Kushaq facelift. The brand could also make 6-airbags standard on the Facelifted version.

Same specifications

The Kushaq already comes with good engine options and we don’t think Skoda will tweak them. The facelift should continue with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 113bhp and 178Nm of torque. Transmission options will continue as manual and automatic gearboxes. We also have a 1.5-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine comes with a manual and a DCT gearbox option.

2024 Skoda Kushaq – Launch & pricing

Skoda hasn’t confirmed anything about a facelifted model, but the Kushaq will complete three years in the Indian market next year. Generally, manufacturers update their cars after three years and we expect the same from Skoda. We could see the Kushaq facelift in the second half of 2024. What about the pricing? Currently, the Kushaq starts from Rs 12.83 lakh and goes to Rs23.54 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The facelift could see a price hike of Rs 50k to 60k, depending upon the variants.
